Esther's Diary

Esther is married to my son, Matthew. That makes her my daughter-in-law. And what a precious daughter-in-law she is to me!

Esther and Matthew on their wedding day, March 2012.

God blessed Matthew and Esther with their first baby, Gerald John, in December, 2012. They call him "Little Ger". He is named after my husband, Gerald.

Esther has been writing delightful journal/diary like updates and sending them to me via email along with precious photos of "Little Ger". Even though I see "Little Ger" often, (they live just 45 minutes away---delight!) I can't seem to get enough of him.

I love to read of Esther's joy and delight at mothering her little one. As her mother-in-law, I couldn't be prouder to watch her meet "Little Ger's" needs a la attachment parenting. They don't call it the "mother-child dance" for nothing. It is marvelous, mysterious and so beautiful to observe.

Her updates were so much fun to read I thought my readers would enjoy reading them too, especially you new moms out there. I know that Esther has a passion for mothering that she wants to share with you young women who are starting out in your mothering journey. And so the baton gets passed from one generation to the next, all in the spirit of Titus 2. So exciting to be a part of!

Here I am holding the little darlin'.
I watched "Little Ger" being born. Wonderment!

"Litte Ger" was my favorite Christmas gift this year!
Christmas morning at our house, 2012.
