What is White Knight?
White Knight is an Internet filter. It keeps undesirable web content out of your home, school, church or small business.
White Knight can be used to filter web pages for a single computer or for an entire network.
White Knight filters web pages using the tried-and-true whitelist approach. Users can access only those websites which have been pre-approved and put on the whitelist by the gatekeeper. Everything else on the Internet is blocked.
White Knight is a hardware device (a mini-netbook), not a software program. It sits between the Internet and your computer or local area network, filtering incoming and outgoing web traffic.
Because White Knight is a hardware filter:
- there is no software installation on individual users' computers
- there is no per-computer fee
- there are no operating system incompatibilities
- there are no software upgrade fees
Because White Knight is whitelist based, there is no ongoing blacklist subscription fee.
